Knowledge Exchange
Clean industry knowledge exchanges are a key tool CSI uses to advance its mission. CSI brings influential, politically and geographically diverse leaders on study tours to see groundbreaking integrated infrastructure projects working on the ground. Since 2017 these exchanges have centered on incredibly fruitful connections and collaborations between partners in Denmark and key leaders in Washington and Oregon.
By forging working relationships between PNW leaders and the world’s leading innovators, we hope to inspire and inform new thinking, projects, and programs here at home. Informed by global best-in-class examples:

Showcase Projects in the PNW can demonstrate radical innovations that work on the ground, serve multiple interests, and draw broad support.

Breakthrough Policies have already resulted, including Washington's bipartisan bill which formed the nation's first statewide industrial symbiosis program.
The Scan Design Foundation has been a key partner and collaborator, supporting CSI’s clean industry knowledge exchanges by
providing scholarships to elected leaders and additional
funding capacity to the program.
